In February 2008, I accepted a position at Meadowthorpe Elementary, in Lexington, Kentucky, as a long-term substitute for a first grade class.  Once I accepted the position, I was able to step in as the students’ new teacher and I successfully assumed all the roles and responsibilities of their teacher and an employee of the school.  I really enjoyed my experience with the 23 wonderful students in the class!  I have had a fantastic experience with this class and I will truly miss them!
